We realise the importance of courses to help create a focus for our iconography work and just as importantly to connect with each other. While it is not possible to meet at an Association run course at present, we hope you will consider a new initiative we have planned.
We are offering members of the Association an exciting opportunity to take part in online sessions where we will each make an icon of St. Columcille, in this the year celebrating his 1500th birthday.
What will this involve:
We will provide those taking part with a colour model, line drawing and a chance to meet together as a group online for monthly teaching sessions. We plan to start this project soon after Easter 2021 and run it over 4- 6 months on one Sunday afternoon each month. The online course will be delivered by Association tutors and is FREE to members.
Who is it suitable for? We have chosen models suitable for varying degrees of skill so that as many of our members as possible who would like to take part can do so. These are shown below. There will be tutoring to support you in refreshing and developing skills and there will be opportunities to connect with others in the group.
